I am black man of mixed origin born in San Francisco, raised in Berkeley, and living in Oakland. My unique perspective is informed by my work experiences as a management consultant, at internet startups, starting a trading company specializing in International foods, and building two localization organizations. I have been married and divorced, and have a five year old daughter who is truly my inspiration. I am now working as consultant and have a contract to be a local clean energy organizer in the Bay Area. I bike most of the time and attend local events with my daughter and folks that are doing positive things. I was a key member of the Oil Independent Oakland by 2020 task force… I could go on, but I won’t at the moment.
Re the name sleepin’ wit da enemy: the enemy in this case, is the global economic system that is destroying Earth’s life support systems, creating unprecedented disparities in health and wealth, and has us on the precipice of economic collapse. And yes,I am metaphorically in bed with the system as I depend on it for many of the things that do on a daily basis, including writing this blog.
